Rethinking Data Reactions and Feedback

Our Rethinking Data offerings are having a profound impact on the way that people look at and use data.  The workshops and our consulting offerings have been delivered in nearly every industry and to audiences around the world.

Here are some selected comments from participants.

I just took part in the one hour Decision Driven! session you gave for XYZ employees and wanted to thank you for this. I can’t remember ever being so focused during a WebEx session, your approach and your presentation thereof really is transforming! (And I’m Swiss, I don’t exaggerate 😉 ) Now I just need to find a project to put this in action!

Brad’s ability to cut through the noise and deliver a compelling data-driven story (without information overload) is outstanding. His ‘Rethinking Data’ course is a refreshing take on how we present data, and highly engaging. This course has equipped me with several practical techniques to help me really focus on the ‘action and decisions’ component of data analysis. Brad has delivered one of the best training sessions I’ve had. His enthusiasm for telling a great story with tangible insights from the data is inspiring. (National Account Manager, Fortune 100 Consumer Packaged Goods Company)

Amazing! Brad was super engaging and entertaining. I loved his principles and the examples to have them resonate. He was relevant to our work and our company. I will reference his guide for a long time. Looking forward to seeing how fellow CDMs have applied his principles.

Very engaging and informative! Love the simplicity of slides.

This was great, I’m hoping to incorporate several tactics in my next category review.

This was simply amazing. Eye opening!

Loved this, wish this was required and enforced across the company 🙂

I thought this was incredible, a great way to rethink our work and try to make us more efficient. So many people in my office have just been doing the same thing for years and over presenting data, but this could really help.

Awesome workshop, very interactive and engaging!

This was super informative and pushed me to think about data in a less science-oriented perspective. Being able to be communicative with data will be key to my development, so this is a huge takeaway.

This session was awesome. We got some actionable ideas coming from this and will definitely put the learnings from this session to work!!!

Literally perfect! Easily the best session I’ve had in my career. Info was relatable fun but most importantly actionable. I’m giddy with excitement about what I’ll be able to accomplish with my new skills

Fantastic stuff … wish Day 1 presenters had used even a few of these concepts – it would have made the info shared more helpful

Incredible. Very insightful. Brings “obvious” concepts to life with meaningful context.

Very helpful. He made it easy to understand how I can simplify data to tell a more compelling story and make more actionable insights. It’s easy to be confused by all the data available so understanding how to simplify all of it in a presentation is helpful.

This was great! I think it is encouraging and helpful to learn how to start small with data!

Everything was great and so different than the approach we have been trained to taking. No improvements but would love follow up so to force us to slowly start modifying our ways.

Very interactive, gets you thinking, applicable. No changes.

I liked the group work, it really helped bring the training to life.

On-point and clear communication from verbal, slide decks, and print-outs. Presentation was hotttt

Fantastic workshop and one of the best I have ever been to! You kept our attention and engagement all day and really demonstrated to us that we can really improve how we get through all of the data and what we really need and want from it. – Fortune 100 Executive

Perhaps the best guest lecturer I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. Got the point across in a straightforward way that sticks.

I used the 2×2 (and a 3×2!) framework today to quickly decipher which Dish Care items were most at risk for distribution cuts based on what items are growing at our retailer versus the marketplace.  As I am transitioning to a new category, this was a very simple way for me to illustrate to my AD where we have a solid story to save distribution and where we may need to do more work/negotiating to save items.

Really enjoyed the workshop and the way it was structured. It is one of the few trainings that kept me engaged. Already recommended it since yesterday to my peers. – Fortune 100 Managed Services Professional

Brad, you have started the disruption! Thanks! (Fortune 100 Managed Services Company)

[What can we do to improve the course?]   “haciendola de dos días y más profunda, es muy bueno!” (doing it two days and deeper, it’s very good!)”

EXCELENT [sic] INSTRUCTOR. THE BEST. PERIOD.

Brad was amazing! He had complete control of the subject and of the group. He was even able to regain our attention after a fire drill.

The 10 principles Brad share [sic] were amazing, this is truly a [sic] transformational training, I wish more people on [sic] the organization took it.

I appreciate Brad for being open and bold in his feedback. I appreciate he gave us his contact information in case we have questions afterwards. Very dedicated instructor =)

Brad was full of energy and always showed interest in all participant’s questions, giving helpful answers to apply in the everyday routine.

Just had a great workshop with Brad Kolar from Avail Advisors about using data more effectively.  It totally changed the way we will look at and use data and will make our decision-making much more efficient and effective.  Anyone whose organization is struggling to use data better should give Brad a call.

One of the most thought-provoking presentations was Brad Kolar’s. His perspective on how to present information to people, based on human evolution and how our brains are wired was extremely beneficial and fascinating. This can definitely be applied directly to real-life work situations.

Candid feedback from the larger group reveals that your working session was among the most popular during our time there.

Amazing!  This was the best virtual training I’ve ever taken.

Thanks a lot for preparing this! The training is amazing and I already can think about ways that I’ll be able to apply this on my daily presentations.

It was one of the most useful trainings I have participated in recently. I will be able to use learnings immediately, I am sure with the affect of better productivity, simplification and improved decision making – something we lack recently.

Best training I’ve had in my whole career

The best training I’ve participated so far very crisp in form and very useful.

Great instructor! knew his topic, engaged us easily (which is not easy for a full day training), a lot of examples that helped ilustrated the topic better.

Amazing!

Loved it! Game changer! We need more of these. -Sales Manager, Fortune 50 Consumer Packaged Goods company

Your common sense and efficient approach this week was refreshing. I thought about trying to get out of this session but I chose to attend.  Boy am I glad that I did and I really mean that. (Manager, Fortune 100 Financial Services Company)

I thought that my reports were very simple until I took this course

Fantastic workshop and one of the best I have ever been to! You kept our attention and engagement all day and really demonstrated to us that we can really improve how we get through all of the data and what we really need and want from it. –Claims Executive, Fortune 50 Insurance Company.

I will be able to drive insights and decisions out of data with effective presentation, visuals and elevator speech.

I learned to make simple reports which however are conclusive and more decisive in nature

This is one of the best classes I have taken. What I learned will help me use a better approach to making decisions and determining the best direction going forward. (Director, Systems Department, Fortune 100 Company)

I love the simplicity of what you taught us while appreciating how complex it can be underneath the data! I am excited to start planning my report from the reverse order and then communicating in the same way! (City Manager, City of Champaign, IL)

This training has really made me think about how I should look at reporting and influence decision making.

This is probably one of the most relevant trainings I’ve attended and I hope we can cascade this to more people in the organization.

As Brad walked through the session with my leadership team, the light bulbs were going on and smiles were elicited as the data (and its utility to the managers) was being unveiled. He helped us take data that we see routinely and transform it into meaningful, actionable information that could shape practice. (Chief Nursing Executive, Presence St. Joseph Medical Center)

The course is simply awesome. I sincerely enjoyed the course. We should have these kind of learning courses more often. The interaction was amazing.

This has been one of the most useful courses I have ever done – well done.

Brad has worked with our senior executive team to move us from reviewing volumes of reports in the hope of understanding the core problem, to clearly identifying root causes and executing specific tactics for improvement. Our improved business discussions and performance results speak to the impact of Brad’s work with our team. We now have a common language for identifying and correcting problems using data. (Senior Executive, Fortune 50 Financial Services Company)

This course will transform the way you look at and report on data! Anyone expected to report data to leadership should take this course.
